Your life science partners from blueprints to business.
Commercial strategy, go-to-market, and scientific communication from seasoned scientific and business operators who have worked inside biotech companies and know what to expect.
We work with companies at every stage.
Pre-seed startups through large international corporations.
Pre-seed startup
Pick the first problem, define the product, and plan the evidence a buyer or partner will ask for.
Growth stage
A go-to-market plan and the commercial systems to run it before you have a large team.
Mid-size company
Product launches, partnership strategy, and scientific messaging that holds up under review.
Global corporation
An outside opinion on an early program, a market entry, or a technology you are considering licensing.
What we do
How an engagement runs
Scope
We start with a scoping call. Within a week you have a written scope: the question we are answering, the deliverables, the dates, and the fee. Work starts when you sign off.
Weekly check-ins
A standing weekly call. You see interim findings as they come in, so nothing in the final deliverable is a surprise.
Recommendation first
Page one is the recommendation. The evidence, the assumptions, and the regulatory and claims review follow. Next steps list who does what, by when.
30 days of follow-up
We answer questions about the deliverable for 30 days after delivery at no extra cost.
An example engagement
A diagnostics company with a newly FDA-cleared sepsis detection platform needed to decide where to launch first.
Which hospitals to sell to first, in what order, and what team it would take to reach them.
A sizing of the 7,000-hospital US market, a ranked set of launch segments, a phased rollout plan, and the hiring roadmap to execute it.
The company took the first-segment plan into launch planning with a named team and a dated sequence instead of a national push.
Details are generalized to protect the client.
Years in scientific research
Companies founded, one in therapeutics and one in diagnostics

Pilot customers signed by direct outreach for a pre-seed diagnostic
I'm a biochemist who left the bench to build companies. I founded a therapeutics company and a diagnostics company, raised capital for both, licensed IP out of a university, and sold to our first customers myself. Today I run US scientific communication for a commercial-stage biotech and sell a medical device into hospitals.
I started Cottle Life Science Advisory to give life science companies commercial advice from someone who can read their data.
